The Austrian tourism region Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis positions itself as a family-friendly destination for winter and summer tourism. The cable car operators Seilbahn Komperdell and Fisser Bergbahnen as main players in the tourism region have had a long focus on environmental topics and now wanted to address the broader topic of sustainability.
Our experts worked with the cable car operators over a series of workshops to develop a sustainability strategy, starting with defining the main sustainability topics that are important from an economic, environmental, and social perspective, also taking into account broader regional topics.
For these topics, a set of strategic sustainability objectives as well as related implementation concepts with specific measures were developed and prioritized. Moreover, a communication concept including the prioritization of main target groups, the development of personas, and the co-creation of core messages around the main topics of quality, diversity, and safety was developed.
The cable car operators received a comprehensive sustainability concept that not only looks at their operations but also broader topics on the regional level. It has strategic objectives and core messages that can be well communicated externally and internally as well as clear priorities and specific measures for implementation.
